I agree that the people on this board are helpful and friendly. Many times I'll post a question on more than one board, and find this board is the one in which I receive the best answers, usally faster than on other boards. :)
But when it comes to the Unix part of OS X, I'm so new, I don't even know what questions to ask! :o I don't know what I can possibly do in Unix! Mostly, I see a lot of problems being solved with suggestions involving using Unix, but I have a hard time following it all.
I did modify my system to use double arrows on both sides of the scroll bars! :D And I've managed to tear apart the forest screen saver to grab the individual .jpg pics so I could mix them with my own pics to create my own screen saver. :D I'm getting there real slow.
I think part of the fun of OS X is that there are so many things you can do, you never run out of new things to explore. I've been using Macs for well over a decade, but I'm finding OS X has me saying Wow! several times a day. I'm totally mesmerised by it!

I know how to do most things, right now i am focusing on UNIX and its codes and all that....Just Stick with the better OS...

Just to let you guys know, there are two wonderful resources for newcomers - The OS X Guidebook and Terminal Basics.
Both of them are available for download from the main Mac OS X Hints site (http://www.macosxhints.com/), and you should tuck into them. Apart from that, there are a good number of threads on this board relating to "how to get into Unix". Have a go with the search function here ;)
Welcome aboard, btw, and yeah, this is possibly the nicest forum it has ever been my privilege (755 ;) ) to be a small part of

Thank you for telling me about both guides! I knew about the OS X Guidebook, but I missed the Terminal Guide. I just grabbed it, and I'll be going through it shortly. I'm taking my time going through the guides so that I can actually do the examples myself since that's how I learn best.

It's reference has been removed, but the page is still there. See this thread (http://forums.macosxhints.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=5439&highlight=guidebook) for reference!
