Myself I use Grado Labs SR80's and a MisterX Built Pimetia at home, and SR60's when out and about.

I'm poor so I use the stock headphones.

Bought these when I got my first iPod (10GB 2nd gen) in November 2002:

Have been using them to this day, now with my new (since Christmas) 40GB 4th gen iPod.
Awesome bass response, surprising amount of noise cancellation, good general frequency response, dirt cheap! :D

Shure E3c Sound Isolating Earphones. Because I want to listen to my music, not my coworker's music.
Hmm. That sounds like ad copy. Sorry.
How about...
I like 'em. They're keen.

Grado Labs (http://www.gradolabs.com/) S60...they're very good for the price. I searched all over to find a set that would deliver excellent performance and stay under $100.

I also use Grado Labs SR60's -- they sound wonderful (given the low price) and are comfortable enough for extended wear.
Also, they look cool if you "think different."

Etymotic ER6i for music, Sony ND5NC active noise-cancelling on an airplane, and stockers for podcasts at work so I can still hear other sounds/people.

I've heard a lot of peopel hating the apple in-ear headphones but i love mine. They're a bit expensive for what they are, though. Those Koss plugs look pretty good, I might have to get them when I need new ones.

Sony MDR EX71SL

They are in-ear phones and inexpensive. They sound very good to me. They get good reviews for a low priced in ear headphone. They are available in white as well. Here's the link to the Sony site.

Shure E3c... great for killing ambient sounds and delivering awesome quality. saves on ipod battery life too, since it is so sensitive to the lowest volume. plus you dont look like a freak wearing them, as opposed to huge headphones --just my opinion.

I see im not the only one who is willing to have non matchin headphones. I have a Pimeta amp on the way to further enhance my ipod listening sessions.

The Grado SR60s are arguably the best damned cans on the market under $200. (Unless you're comparing to the SR80s!) I recommend them to everyone.

They're just amazing. (And you're a square if you don't dig the 50s retro A/V squad look! ;-))
