i just upgraded client's sawtooth powermac was to X.1.5 and everything is peachy keen, except for the following problem.
Classic (9.2.2, BTW) is present to run only the following: Outlook, Font Reserve 1.5 & Xpress 5.0. we print via LPR to a Canon Colorpass printer. all is well when in 9.2.2. when in X and running Xpress via Classic the Desktop printer goes missing. Apple has a workaround for this, which i haven't tried yet:

Symptom
Your LPR printer does not appear in the Classic Chooser.
Products affected
--Mac OS X 10.0 and later
Solution
The following steps assume you have set up an LPR printer before. If you have not, use the Desktop Printer Utility to add an LPR printer. It is located in the Utilities folder inside the "Applications (Mac OS 9)" folder.
Steps to select an LPR printer in Classic:
1. From a Classic application, choose Chooser from the Apple menu.
2. Click the LaserWriter icon. A list of AppleTalk devices appears, which you should ignore.
3. Close the Chooser. When you print from Classic, you are now able to choose the LPR based printer in the print dialog.

is there any way to automate this process, via Applescript, for example?
