iPod Froze (literally)

My roommate took his 4gb iPod mini with him this morning on a walk. He had it in his jacket at first, but took it out while he was making a phone call. When he finally looked back down at his iPod, the screen had frozen over, and the LCD wasn't working. Any suggestions to help get it working?

Sorry, never mind, he didn't tell me the LCD was still displaying stuff, I reset it for him and it works fine

For anyone else finding this thread, to reset your iPod Mini, hold menu and the centre button for 10 seconds. If you don't press them simoultaniously, it might not work, so it might take a few trys.
