I'm heading out to my local Apple Store (Woodfield Mall, Schaumburg, IL), tonight, and I'm wondering how many of us are doing the same?
(My wife has known about this for two weeks and has let me out of my turn to bathe the kids, tonight! Woot!)

I'll be there at the Mall of the Universe. Along with my wife (who owns our company and is of course the boss) and a couple of our friends.

Might be there at Woodfield, too.

Just returned from the store in Kenwood, (Cincinnait) Ohio.
It was really cool. There was a HUGE line, and when I left at around 11:30, it had actually grown longer then at 10:20. They only let people in for every one that left, so I am pretty sure some folks never made it inside within the 100 minutes. :(
I wasn't able to pick up the guest of honor because the upgrade price isn't available in the stores, only over the phone. So it looks like my wait continues!
I got a free Jag mousepad though!!

Well, I'm posting this in Jaguar. Seems quicker than 10.1.5 - pleasantly so. It feels... different. Like the difference between a Toyota and a Lexus. Toyotas are good, but the Lexus has a different feel. Better engineering. So far Jag feels like a Lexus. I like it. A lot, so far. We'll see.
(BTW, the install took quite awhile, and Software Update already has a security update.)
Anyway, I got to the Woodfield AppleStore at maybe 8:55 or so, and the store was just closing. Got in line as about the 50th person back (there were probably over a thousand people there by the time I left). Was behind an educational IT guy who was there with his girlfriend, and a Mainframe programmer from Bloomington, IL who had two of his kids with him (it was a 3 hour drive, for him). Both guys were friendly, and we talked quite a bit while we waited in line. We were in the first group that went into the store, and I got right in line and purchased my 10.2 box at about 10:30. The threw in a t-shirt and a 10% discount at the check out, and a mousepad and sticker as I left. I got some photos and movies of the line, and one brief photo of the inside of the AppleStore, before I was told that no photos were be taken inside the store. There was a big crowd in the back watching a Jag demo.
I'm uploading the photos and stuff to my work mac, but I have cable, so my upload speed sucks. They should be up in half and hour, or so at:

Keep in mind when you're looking at all these people, that the mall is closed. the AppleStore was the only thing open.

At the Aspen Grove store in Littleton CO, the line was about 400 yards long (however many people that is.) At 10:20, the store manager welcomed us all and told us the store would not close until everyone had gotten in. Since the store has a limited capacity, it soon reached the point where nobody could go in until someone else left. I left at 11:00 PM and I'd estimate there were still 500-600 people in line, so I don't think the store will be closing at midnight. Just about everyone had a boxed copy of Jaguar, and computers were going out the door too. It would be interesting to know how much business is done tonight.

Damn, I wouldn't have expected such a huge crowd at the Aspen Grove, Littelton, CO store....

I bet all the stores had a big crowd.

Mall of America: no idea of the count, but the line still waiting to get in at midnight was running well over a hundred. We met a lot of international visitors in the line.
A lot of systems were moving with the 10% discount. Many, many copies of Jag sold.
I thought the demonstration was pretty pedestrian, and was mildly disappointed there was not an InkWell demo, or a machine set up to try it out.
