Did 10.1.x do this?
When you're in a QuickTime movie, with the pointer over the movie window, you can use the scroll wheel to "scrub" back and forth through the frames.
It's very slick, and much smoother than manually dragging the play-head left and right.
This is freakin' awesome!
What other neat little tricks and shortcuts am I missing out on, I wonder?

Nice poll and discussion idea, 9killer.
We have a general evaluation of 10.2 going on this thread. (http://forums.macosxhints.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=4905) so come check that one out, too.

I just found an interesting "trick" on Macslash (http://www.macslash.org/articles/02/08/27/1116221.shtml).
And here's a screenshot of what it looks like:

Basically it inverts Aqua's colors. It's fun and a little weird.

Here's another trick that has it's uses:
I'd heard rumors way back in X PB that you'd be able to connect to servers via FTP in the finder, but haven't actually been able to do it, until now.
In the 10.2 "Connect to Server" window (Command-K) type in:
ftp://username@mydomain.com
or
ftp://publicftpsite.com
You'll be prompted for a password (if you're not logging in as Anonymous) and then you're in.
The only caveat so far is that it always shows directories as read-only, even when you know you have write permissions.

I'm going to make a wildass guess that the FTP capability is not finished yet, which is why Apple is not mentioning it yet as a feature in the literature.
10.2.x, perhaps? :D

I found a great resource for Jaguar tips and tricks, today.
It's Ken Bereskin's Weblog at:
