There are different procedures, depending on if you are using a Mac, or a PC.

But what if your itunes doesn't show the ipod tab they talk about???? :confused:

You would need to update to a version that does. The latest update is version 6.0.1
The iPod tab will not show any info unless you actually have an iPod plugged in to the computer.
