playlist on nano

I know nothing at all about ipods so please bear with me.

My youngest daughter got the Ipod mini about a week before they brought the Nano out. It has been working well apart from a bit of crackling on the sound but we put that down to our computer.

Eldest daughter got Nano for christmas, loaded her cd on the computer and downloaded some tracks . The Nano won't tell her what she is listening to and now, her sister has put a few more tracks on hers and the mini won't list the contents of hers either.

Any ideas anyone?????

Are the tracks listed properly in iTunes? When you rip a CD in iTunes, it will get the song information off the web if you're connected. Was her Mac connected to the internet at the time?
