Shuffle trouble

Hey i am having the same trouble as many that i have read, my shuffle wont play my songs, ive tried to update it but am not having much luck:(

i was just wondering if anybody could lend me a hand, any help at all would be very very much appreciated, thx :D

It Seems you probably have the green light but nothing Happens.
Assuming you can get the Itunes onto your Shuffle.
I had to same problem.

GOTO the Apple site
http://www.apple.com/support/ipod/five_rs/ and
download the ipod updater and itunes exe's. Install them
without the ipod connected. From your start menu goto
programs ipod / Updator. A popup will load asking to
plug in our ipod.
Do it and then toggle the restore button. This should do it.

Unplug the ipod by using my computer eject IPOD , then pull
it out. Now Start Itunes, plug in your ipod.
Drag and drop a song over to the ipod
and then unplug using the eject button on the Itunes this time.
Pull it from the computer and then plug in your head phones
and just push play... increase the volume it should be working.

After this you can just Autofill as usual.

I'm in the process of restoring my shuffle -- it's been blinking orange for well over 10 minutes now. How long does the restore process take??
