I'm having trouble manually adding songs to my nano from my itunes library. Instructions say to click and drag the song to the nano icon in the sourcelist, but nothing happens when I do this. I can drag, but I get a circle with a line through it, and it doesn't add to my nano. Can anyone help? TIA.

Have you set your iPod to "manual sync"? (in the iTunes preferences)
See also the Apple docs that are linked to in the FAQ thread at the top of this forum section.

Yes, i'm set to manually sync. my ipod mainly has songs from 1 computer, and i'm trying to add a few songs from a second computer. when i plug it into the second computer, i select "no" when asked if i want to replace my ipod songs with the songs from the library on the second computer. but i can't manually drag.

I have no experience with the newer iPods, but my experience with older iPods is that it doesn't ask you about replacing the songs if you have it set to do manual sync.
Again, have a look at the Apple docs I referred to above.

I think you need to change the prefs in iPod prefs in iTunes prefs for each iPod..... I think it defaults to syncing automatically each time.....
