Need assistance setting up iPod to HDTV

What I have:

- iPod Video
- Universal Dock
- Remote Control (it's from my iMac but I'll never use it there)
- iPod connector to USB Power Supply
- S-Video Cable


That will work just fine, however, what I really want it to utilize higher quality the iPod connector port (whatever it's called) and connect to my HDTV's DVI port for the BEST possible video.

Is this currently possible?

The iPod isn't designed to generate digital video signals. And the S_video out is going to be severely limited by the 320x240 standard video, unless you are custom encoding something. I think it can handle VGA video at best.

You're really using the wrong tool for the job here. If you want to play DVD quality video (presumably from DVDs) through something portable there are many portable disc players that dont require you to jump through the encoding hoops.
