Is there a way you can hide appication that are active " currently in use" in the dock like you can with dashboard? I am trying to run an appication but i do not want the application icon to show up in the dock.
Thanx

You can find a shourter version of this but not as detailed at the resexcellence.com forum where i origionally posted this.
I figured it out by trial and error also combined with what others told me. I am not exactly sure how it works but it does. I was told to make a copy of the application first to the desktop. Then drag it out of the dock if it is in the dock. Then open the info.plist in an appications content folder( applicaion's name.app>right click> show paackage contents>contents>info.plist.) It should open up in an application called property list editor. Then you click on the root triangle to open it up and and add click root again if it is not highlighted and you will see the new sibling button change to new child. Click it and add LSUIElement for the name / class=string / value=1. then save it. Then replace the old app with the new one u modified. This should clear teh cashe of the old application also which is needed. I justed used onyx and cleared out all my system and application's cashe so I made sure it was cleared. then I ran repair disk permissions once from disk utility and I restarted my computer. Open the application int he app folder and it should turn on.
