Shouldn't there be something beyond "moderator" under his name? "Extraordinaire" perhaps. Congratulations on a job extraordinarily well done, Hayne.

Perhaps the coveted 'mervTormel' award should be bestowed upon him. :D

If my arithmetic is correct (http://forums.macosxhints.com/showthread.php?t=45129), that makes an average of about 23.3644859813084125 posts a day since the 24th of September 2005 when the 10,000 milestone was reached.
Thank you for your dedication, the quality of your answers, and your mouse-side manner!

Haynes postings show a unique combination of both impressive competence and extreme patience.
They have significantly shaped the quality of this forum and set high standards.

A mentor of mine defined competence and ethical behavior in a way that fits Hayne quite well: “the first insures that you do the thing right, and the second that you do the right thing.”

May I suggest Exemplar? I can’t think of anyone whom the word fits better!! Your combination of true generosity, expertise, clarity, patience and lightning-quick response continues to amaze.
On a personal note, Hayne, time and again you have been there with a helpful hint within 3 minutes of my posting the problem. Wow!
With continuing gratitude,

Why not very simply hayne ... no title of any kind... the name is enough.
Thanks for helping me time and time again hayne and helping me remember that you should always start with the basics of troubleshooting, however complicated the issue is.

In truth, hayne's an example of the way the online community works at its best.
Congratulations on the milestone, hayne. And rock on.

And at least 7,500 of those posts began "You should try the standard troubleshooting suggestions..."
For people new to the whole OSX thing with problems, (such as myself).
That is infinite patience!

Actually, that is the best suggestion yet.

Okay, I'm replying a few months after the original post date and already the number of hayne's posts has jumped up to 16,765. Just wanted to add a thanks for your help and also for the recommended applications on your website.
I think you should be next in line to be knighted "Sir hayne". Or, does one have to be British to get that?

The things is 15000 posts is nothing to be wow'ed about and in many cases on other forums 15000 posts are nothing but 90% junk.
But with Hayne its been 15000 posts of information, knowledge and wisdom now that is something to Wow about. Thanks Hayne I know you have used some of those posts on me.
