How many people think that Mac OS X Hints needs a new logo? That one has been around forever and I think it could be - er - better, even if you just adjusted the contrast. ;) Not too much offence.

So badly. A visual overhaul, really. The forums are OK, but the main website is aesthetically compromised. I love it anyway, though.

I think a new logo would be nice...afterall...it doesn't really reflect Jaguars sparkling aqua clarity ;)

In fact, I would be willing to give it a go, and design a new logo...or maybe...wouldn't it be nice to have some kind of design competition?

Logo design competition, not a bad idea. Would this forum software allow (not in current setup, obviously) for the entries to be posted in the messages?

Yes, this software can allow users to attach files to posts. It is just turned off.

I think the logo should be suggestive of the word "hint" in the title. Maybe by depicting a wink, or perhaps a knowingly cocked eyebrow a la Ellen Feiss. Yeah, that's it. Just use Ellen Feiss for the logo!

I'm all for using Ellen Feiss for the new logo. Great idea!

Ha ha. If they LET me fix it, I would. But I cannot edit the poll, so there is no way for me to fix it.

This isn't so much a logo comment as it is a comment on the look of the site as a whole: You could learn a lot from the forums over at AppleAddict (http://www.appleaddict.com/index.php). Content notwithstanding, the look of the AAF is so smooth and has so many nice features. Whoever tweaks this site would do well to keep some of their interface ideas in mind. My 2¢.

I like the theme over at MacFora (http://macfora.com/), their forums are powered by vBulletin (http://www.vbulletin.com/).
