my shortcut to the hints forum is actually the getnew threads link, and almost everytime i see threads that have not been posted to at the top of the list, how so?
for example, i posted a poll on "which ftp client do you use?" which was last posted and edited by 9KILLER on the 28th, yet it appears every so often near the top, is this down to people editing their posts? and if so, can it be fixed so they only move up if you post a reply?

I believe this is a result of someone responding to the poll, not necessarily commenting on it. Someone may have requested that his behavior be eliminated, which I think is a good idea, if possible.

Edit: Yeah, AKcrab suggested this be changed in the thread located at http://forums.macosxhints.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=4076&highlight=polls

David is correct. submitting your opinion in the wretched polls will bubble them up as a new post. loathsome behavior, aye.

i believe it's a "feature" in vBulletin that can't be changed at this time. perhaps a new version will address it.

thanks Rob! working perfect now. as for the colour schemes, i believe you can create several themes which you can then choose in your prefs, perhaps a thread on colour schemes/suggestions could be started?
