Hi there,
a friend of mine is selling his 10G Ipod for £50 second hand...
My birthday is soon and i really really really want an ipod :)
This looks like great deal, although I will not buy it if it looks damaged or to banged up.
ive never owned an Ipod and so thought I'd ask you guys (and gals) :) to lend me a hand.
Is there anything I should look out for? Any concerns over the 10 Gb?
any GENERAL INFORMATION would be readily and eagerly accepted as he's selling tommorow (Friday June 30th) and this is my first Ipod
if you could help that would be awesome...
thanx alot

10gig iPod is cool... but its probiably quite old now...
I got my 20 gig iPod from the UK apple store's 'refurb' section and it has been fine for over a year now... I just checked and the refurb store isn't open at the mo.... but a week or so ago they were doing 20gig iPods for £90..... and that comes with a years warrenty.
If it was me... (which its not!) I might be tempted to go for a 1gig Nano at £99...... its nice to have all my music on my iPod.... but 1gig is still a lot of music..... its 240 ish songs.... thats gotta be over a days worth of music!

You should also anticipate to change the battery anytime soon now and include that into the price when comparing to other options.

yes... it may be old, but is it still a good deal if i figre in the cost of the battery?
I tired buying a new ipod nano off ebay, but the price went up to high :( so i think this is a good deal for me seeing as my b-day is monday....
do you agree??

the battery went really quickly,
Quick battery discharge is the sign of an old iPod battery. That is why voldenuit mentioned that you may want to factor in the cost of a new battery.

£40 for an iPod is a sweet deal...
you can even get an iTrip to play your tunes in your car.... or an iTalk to record meetings/lectures....
