I have a 4G iPod (the one just before the photo ipod) that is refusing to charge. I've tried resetting, updating, leaving for 24 hours and resetting again - all without success. I've even put it into diagnostic mode but can't make sense of the output.
Symptoms :
- works fine when plugged into a charger / computer
- shows battery charging icons
- when unplugged from charger it dies *completely*. No low battery icon, no sign of life at all
My suspicion is that it's a hardware problem not a battery problem - does anyone know if I can detect this using diagnostic mode ?
