Hey everyone and anyone,

I have an iPod Mini and iTunes 6.0.5 on a new MacBook. Just recentl, I started noticing that a ton of my songs that are in my library weren't going on the iPod no matter how any times I've updated it.

I thought it might be the fact that I got them on Limewire but they were working on the iPod just until abuot a week ago. If you've had this issue and found a way to fix it please tell me. Any help would be great.

Thanks in advance.

Look in your iPod prefs. Is it on automatic or manual? You could just do an iPod restore which fixes pretty much all software issues then try reloading your music from itunes. Its in your utilites folder.

Don't use Limewire. Its not fair to the artists.

Thanks I did the Ipod restore, but it stated doing it again.
It looks like the songs that i don't listen to at all are the first to go (or not update). I'm going to try to contact apple cosomer service.

Well, my smilies aren't smiling unfortunately.

That's because many of my songs in my iTunes library are't getting updated to my ipod mini.
I noticed thats first the songs that had a play count of zero didn't update. Then those with play count of 1 then 2 and so on and so forth.

I posted this problem and received only one reply a few weeks ago and that was to do an ipod restore. I did it, and then it started happening again. I've had the ipod mini for about two years, and have only recently started noticing this.
I have a new MacBook (just got it a month ago) and before i used gtkpod on a Linux machine. I have both Limewire and iTunes songs, and I'm suprised that it di it again after the restore.

Any help would be great,
Thanks.

Please don't start a new thread when there is an existing one on the same or similar problem.
I have merged your two threads.

I have the same problem - sort of. First of all my battery life is ridiculously short (less than 2 hours) but what is worse is that when I do lose battery power even for a moment, all of the songs I purchased on iTunes are 'removed' from the iPod.

When I say removed I mean that the song titles and artists appear, but they will not play. The purchased folder just runs through the songs acting as though it cannot find them.

Any suggestions???
