Hi,
During trying to sort out the G4 I have been given I discovered a problem with my iPod which has taken priority...
I have a 3G iPod (20Gb) which I have connected to a Blue and White G3 tower for the last year. The other day I tried to plug it in and got a message saying 'No OSX readable volumes, Initialise, Ignore, Eject' or something similar, the iPod still works ok on it's own (although occasionally comes up with the folder and exclamation mark!).
After a lot of connecting and disconnecting and getting the above message, I finally got it to mount but it wouldn't appear in iTunes. I tried Senuti to back some music off which I thought had worked but halfway through copying the first track it seemed to freeze.
Since then it hasn't connected although it can be seen in Disk Utility (invalid node problem) and Disk Warrior (Volume Wrapper problem). I have tried booting from the Disk Warrior CD but it doesn't see the iPod!!
I have run the iPod updater and it is already at the most recent version.
I really just want to back up the contents of my iPod so I can wipe it and start again (until recently I didn't have the space to keep a backup of all my music on the computer).
If anyone has any help or advice I will be eternally gratefull!!
Cheers, Dub
