.
Is there a way for me to select "Show all threads from the beginning" as the default? As far as I recall, it used to be – but this appears to have been changed a while ago.
Anyways, I prefer the way it was, with the historical depths of each Forum area readily accessible. :)
Oh, by the way, it would be great for threads to have a button at the bottom called "Show all posts" (in one window).

All threads? As in from thread #24? All ~60,000 of them?
Probably be easier to ask Craig or Rob for a database dump.

Sorry, I didn’t express myself clearly. That is, of course, not what I meant.
What I mean is this: When a thread area (f.ex. (Tweaking OSX") has multiple windows, you could previously click on the number of the window you wished. Now I have to first select "Show all threads from beginning" at bottom to have this option visible – and it doesn’t remember that for the next time I go to "Tweaking OSX".
The other part of my post referred to posts within a thread. If there are, say, 21 or 52 posts, it would be really nice to have the option of displaying them in one window. Makes it easier to search within the thread and to see the interaction between posts. (By the way, is there a way to do "Split Screen" in Safari.)

You should really check out your "User CP" (upper left of every page), and therein the "Edit Options"-->"Thread Display Options".
That way you can get 100 posts per page in a thread and all threads from the beginning.
Unfortunately, there seems to be no way to get a thread listing with more than 25 threads per page. 100 would be nice...

Thanks! My ignorance has been repaired – and the foresight of the Forum founders once again thoroughly documented.

Yeah, I have seen a few forum softwares where they allow " show all " instead of x per page. It was nice for say up to 250 posts, but anything bigger and it put the forum to its knees. Oh well, maybe with PHP5/MySQL5 it could be optimized, and perhaps a feature option for the future versions of vBulletin.
