So i've been thinking for some time now that I really don't need all of those notification emails. I like them, because I like to know instantly when someone has replied to a thread that I am subscribed to, but what winds up having is my inbox gets flooded with all those notification emails...I've got about 850 in there now, compared with about 600 personal emails.
Basically my goal is this: To know instantly (or every 30 min, using Safari's RSS reader) when someone has replied to any of the threads to which I am subscribed. I could have a bookmark right in the bookmarks bar for "Subscribed Threads" and every half hour it would update the number of new replies that I have yet to see.
I have no idea if this is possible, nor am I demanding it be implemented if it is not possible. I am just wondering if there is a way to get notified when people reply to threads that I am subscribed to other than email method, and other than bookmarking the individual page...hopefully using Safari's RSS functionality.
