Volume password

I set my daughters volume control password and lost it.Is there a way to reset so we can control the volume ? We think she may have figured it out and reset it herself.

Volume control? As in how loud the sound is? :confused:

Yes. we had it set to where she could only go top about 3/4 volume when she turned it all the way up. Now our password doesn't work and it is loder when turned up to max volume. In other words we had her maximum volume allowed reduced. Of course we get the I did nothing to it statement. Guess it must have been magic. Sure !!!!!!!

As is mentioned in this Apple doc on setting the volume limiter:

restoring the iPod will remove the volume limit.
So maybe your daughter found it necessary to do a "restore" and forgot to mention this. It is often necessary to do a "restore" if something goes wrong with the iPod.

Thanks. I hoped there was an easier way than deleting music music but this will have to do.
