root password

Any one know what might happen if the the root paswword is changed?

I did it a week ago and so far so good...

Changing the root password is not a problem...unless perhaps you forget it after one week.

I remember reading in a forum far, far away about a guy who in a drunken stupor one night, changed all his passwords on his Mac, both root and user!!!

Guess what? He couldn't remember them in the morning. He had to get himself drunk again so that his brain was working the same way before he remembered what they were.
