Chooser in Classic environment

O.K., here is the scenario...I am in OS 10.1.2 and I need to print from one of my applications, Photoshop 6. I open the Classic environment and then my application..go to the chooser and select my Epson 1520 driver..however, the serial ports (printer and modem) don’t show up, and ultimately my printer doesn't work!

Should the printer and modem ports show up in Classic in the chooser? How can I get my Epson serial printer recognized in Classic mode?

Any ideas out there?

It seems to me that if you can re-boot into your Classic system folder and then set up your Printer in the Chooser, that these settings will still be there when you boot into Classic/OS X.

I've tried that. I can print fine when I am in 9.2.2 (I have the printer connected to the printer serial port) but when I reboot and go to OS X and start classic to print, the printer does not respond.
