I have way too much stuff, I admit. Each gizmo comes with its own adapter (why why can't they standardize them I wonder) cables to connect to the mac, charger, God knows what but I don't anymore.

Has anybody found a way to lable cables adapters chargers in an efficient way?

It's definitely a jungle back there. If you go to a big computer store specializing in parts (forget anything in a mall, look in the light industrial parts of town) or some place dealing in network cabling you'll find more cable management goodies than you'll know what to do with. Fairly cheap too.

Thank you for the suggestion, will try. Has anybody got a US specific solution? A chain or something?

For labeling I use a simple solution, a cheap roll of white tape that you can write on. Fold the tape over the cable near the plug end and label it so you can ID cables at the surge protector. If it's an adapter brick you can just stick a piece of tape on that and label it. If I didn't do this I would probably plug wrong stuff together and fry them. Also helps with USB and FireWire cables. I label them at the Mac end so I know which one goes to the printer, which hard drive, etc.
