If you look on Versiontracker: http://www.versiontracker.com/php/search.php?mode=basic&action=search&str=key+logger there's a whole host of keyloggers, some free and some commercial.
Searching MacUpdate only provides 1 result though, logKext: http://www.macupdate.com/info.php/id/16155
Editorial opinion: Kids will inevitably look on sites you don't want them to; if not at home, then on a friend's computer, or at the library, or any other chance they get. I think key logging sends the wrong message to your kids. You simply -cannot- monitor their computer usage everywhere, so it is really important that you let them know just WHY some sites are inappropriate or dangerous and come to an understanding of the matter with them. Otherwise, this sort of approach just encourages kids to try to get around your oversight and creates a much worse situation. Keylogging might achieve some of your short-term goals for a while, but it might be ultimately self-defeating. Please note that not everyone on this forum would agree with this sentiment, but this is my view.

thank you for your opinion. I do however agree with your opinion its just that i think that my eldest child has a gambling addiction and he gambles online alot. I would just like to track how often he is gambling then i can approach him knowing im not just being over paranoid!!!

Instead of using a key logger, maybe you could actually get some real help to help you help himself.

I use TypeRecorder by http://www.rampellsoft.com/ and recommend the program company. When I've had a question or problem because of changing computers they have always been helpful.

Note that you access the keystrokes on another Mac while the keylogged one is on. I forget how to get the logs from the keylogged computer.
Anyway, download the program on the computer you want to track, open it with the latest Stuffit Expander (ftp://ftp.allume.com/pub/archive/mac/StuffIt_Expander/stuffit_exp_1100.dmg) (Yeah, I know, I know...) program for 10.4 Tiger. If you are using 10.3 Panther, get v10 (ftp://ftp.allume.com/pub/archive/mac/StuffIt_Expander/stuffit_exp_1001_x_install.dmg) instead.
Open the "Trojan Server" program.
Go into System Prefs, and goto the "Firewall" tab. Click "New...". If you cannot click it, click the lock in the lower left of the window. You will probably need to enter a admin password. Then type in 3434 into the TCP port box. Near the top of the window, note the "<whatever-name-of-computer>.local" text.
Close System Prefs, and delete the CarbonKeys files you downloaded to cover your tracks (sorta).
On the other Mac, download the CarbonKeys program again, this time open the "Client" program, and type in the "<whatever-name-of-computer>.local:3434" text into the spot that says "127.0.0.1:3434" and click connect. When connected, in the Client program, click "Download Log" to see the log. You can shange the number 1 to something else to see all the keystrokes. Note that Mac OS X somehow prevents the program from stealing many types of passwords, and CarbonKeys may not be able to keylog them.
You can also see a Screenshot (!) of what the person is doing on the other Mac by clicking "Screenshot". It saves it to the folder the Client is in.

I've just done a careful review of everything out there in Mac OS X keyloggers (http://foliovision.com/2010/01/17/keyloggers-mac-os-x). The best option is free. logKext.
