Help!! Capacity problems

I've got a 2 GB ipod version 1.1 ot something....and I only have music on it (no picS) and when I go to "summary" in itunes it has info about the capacity...it has 850 MB audio and then 1 GB that says OTHER! I dont know how to get rid of it!! Please help me find out what this OTHER is (btw it's colored in orange and the audio in blue and FREE in white...)! I don't know if I managed to explain it properly but it's really annoying and I dont know how to free that 1GB.... :(

Probably files on the hard drive portion of the iPod. Does it show up on your Desktop as a removeable device? Is there junk on it?
