Ipod Mini wont hold charge despite battery change

Hi,

I recently changed the battery on my girl friends Ipod Mini as it would not hold its charge.

However, the fault remains. In its dock it will play tunes no problem and seems to retain enough energy (some times) to tell you it has no battery left. I have checked and it is connected - lets face it once you get it open its fairly easy to change the battery.

I have also reset the software.

Before it gets launched into the bin is there anything else I can try?

Hey there. what company did you use? I used ipod juice for my 5th gen video (not a mini) and had good results.

How are you charging up your iPod mini? Using the computer only or a charging cable? Have you tried to use another charging method? Borrow someone else's cable to rule that out first.

Well, you might want to check some battery retailers if you are comfortable with taking the thing apart.

I have a 5th G iPod, and my battery was dead from not excersizing the charge enough. I got an ipodjuice.com battery. The life on that one was junk, so they sent me a new one. Now I have the replacement battery in, and it wont hold a charge for more than a day! Could this be the ipod? Or did I just get 2 junk batteries by chance? ipodjuice.com support claims that the 2nd one was bench tested... Please HELP! I'm leaving for a 5 week trip in 11 days!
