View Full Version : Certain audio files won't sync to my iPod nano

I downloaded several podcasts of Steve Gibson & Leo Laporte's "Security Now" show from the website (see below.) They appear in my iTunes library and I can listen to them on my Mac mini, but they won't synch to my iPod nano. I created a new playlist with just these files and that won't synch to my iPod, either. For some reason the iPod doesn’t see these audio files. Their show is available from iTunes store and those files work fine.

I'm running iTunes 7.0.2 and my iPod has firmware 1.3. The mac is running OS 10.4.8. Plenty of memory on the iPod.

Any ideas?

I know this might sound stupid, But is your nano full?

He said his nano wasn't full.

To the OP--Have you tried restoring the nano?

Did you get any answer or figure out how to fix this problem yet?

I just started having the same problem on my ipod. I downloaded a new podcast I just subscribed to called Lightroom for Digital Photographers. I selected it to be downloaded to the ipod and synch'd it. But none of the 8 or so podcast files will transfer to my ipod. The files play fine in itunes on my Mac.

My Mac G4 dual-533MHz running 10.4.9, iTunes 7.2 (34), has 768 MB RAM and 9GB freespace on my harddrive and my 5gen video ipod has about 8+GB free space, far more than I'm trying to download.
