I cannot uninstall itunes at all!! I have tried all yesterday and all today. When I went in 'add or remove programs' and click to uninstall, i could only take away part of it, then it says i have to verify that it exists. I cant reinstall the newer version and cant use my new ipod until this is done with. ANyone have a clue on what is going on here??  :( :(

hmm...you could manually do it i suppose. like search for the iTunes folder and other files and trash them

Windows doesn't work that way, Jonathanjong. the registry is modified when a program is installed and those entries have to be removed upon a clean un-install of a program. Many bad uniinstallers leave stuff in the registry they should remove. While it is POSSIBLE to manually edit the registry file, it isn't for the faint of heart and does pose some degree of risk.

Try starting Windows in Safe Mode and uninstaling that way. It is possible that iTunes has files in use that cannot be removed while they are running. I've had that happen often enough.

Apple uninstall instructions for iTunes on Windows: http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=93698

Note these forums are concerned with Mac OS X. You are more likely to get help on a Windows forum.

Hi, I've had much the same problem - messages saying "the feature is in a network file unavailable to you" etc.
I successfully got rid by downloading "windows install clean up".
Access the programme "windows install clean up" and remove from the listing items beginning 7.5etc and 7.2etc.
Go to apple.com and download itunes again if thats what you want to do - if not you should have succeeded in getting rid of itunes.
After downloading i would suggest you do not accept itunes as your music default file.

I would suggest that you not use a Windows system as your default location for any files of importance. The problem is definitely not iTunes. It's the Windows Registry, which is infamous for being easily corrupted.
