Hi,
I bought a Shuffle for my daughter. I currently have 2 iPods working on the same computer under two different "login" names on my system. I created a new windows login for my daughter. I attempted to do the following as I did with the 2nd iPod which was succesful:

I created a new login for windows
Downloaded iTunes and Limewire
I went through the setup for the shuffle and registered it
I downloaded songs from limewire, saved them in a folder and opened the folder with iTunes as I always have in the past (always works)
I plugged the iPod into the usb port for transfering
iPod did it's normal thing, disconnected it when it said "ok to disconnect"
No songs were transferred
I figured I did something while the setup occured, so I removed iTunes and Limewire, restarted the computer and started from step one.
The shuffle will not transfer music. The lights on the Shuffle indicate no music transferred according to the legend included in the instructions.

I am in the process of taking it back and exchanging it. Does anyone have any ideas???

1. using Limewire to download music is illegal.
2. Music you get from Limewire come from average joe people like you and me. Those songs could be corrupt, or not even songs. You can get a whole bunch of crap from Limewire you don't want.

Do you have the same problem with music you own? Say from a Cd or music you bought from iTunes.

Im usually not surprised when someone is having problems with music downloaded from Limewire.

I would first make sure that Limewire is not part of the problem. Try putting songs from a CD or iTunes on your iPod and see if it works.

Whether Limewire is illegal or not is not what I asked you for. Limewire is not the problem considering I used it for my last two ipods with no problems. Any other suggestions?
