I have a click wheel iPod and an iBookk G4. My iPod recently got itself stuck in Disk Mode and is invisible to my computer. It says it's "ok to disconnect" and the disk inside is making a slow clicking noise, about one click per second. Here is what I have troubleshot so far:
- Reset the iPod about a thousand times
- Attempted to Restore Settings through iPod Updater. iPod Updater says to connect an iPod to the computer.
- Connected the iPod with a USB instead of the FireWire.
iTunes doesn't see the iPod and neither does the rest of the computer. i should also mention that I had a new Hard Drive installed in December and the iPod woorked pretty well after that, until last week. Does anyone know what I should try next? It's a pretty old iPod but I can't replace it so I'd like to know if anyone knows how I can fix it. Thanks.
