Hi,

I have two partitions at the moment. One with os x and 9. and one with just os 9. As I now spend most of my time on OS X. I would like to remove the OS 9 copy that is on the same partition as OSX. My impression is that it is better to leave a single OS 9 folder on a seperate partition for use in Classic mode and for the occasional boot into classic.

* Can anyone tell me the best way to remove mac os 9.
* any thoughts on the optimal configuration when it comes to OS X(.1) and 9?

Many thanks,

Tuz

If your OS 9 set up on the non-X partition is adequate and 9.2, you could just leave that one alone and trash your OS 9 System Folder on your X partition. Best way to do that, I think, would be to first re-set your Classic boot folder to OS 9 on your separate partition, then reboot into OS on that partition. Find your OS 9 System Folder on your X partition, drag it to the trash, and empty the trash. If you have OS 9 Applications on your X partition, you can decide if you want to leave them there or regain even more space by moving them to your OS 9 partition.
