I have a simple setup on which i am trying to to a netinstall....my equipment:
-Intel MacBook running server OS 10.4.8
-Client PowerPC Mac Mini running 10.4.9
-A switch and 2 ethernet cables between them
I have created the netinstall set and image, and the netinstall set is in the NetBootSP0 folder on the server and I have started the NetBoot service on the server (image is listed, and is ticked). On the client I can see the bloody thing in startup preferences but when I try and boot from it just a flashing globe....even when I start up with the alt key held down it isnt an option. WHY?!?!
The client is bound via open directory and can ping and resolve DNS with the server. I actually wanted to use NetRestore but that wont work, so Im trying this....and it wont work.
Have followed instructions but something isnt right....any help much appreciated!
