Just bought USED Macbook Pro need to restore to factory settings

I just bought a used Macbook Pro that only came with the power cord. It did not come with any software, manual or original osx CD. Is there anyway I can restore everything to the factory settings without the original CD?

I already own an iMac that came with the OSX CD. Can I use this CD to restore the macbook pro? I want to just wipe it clean like it was brand new. Unfortunately, I can no longer get the original CD.

Sorry if this was a confusing question. I need help asap!

OSX restore CDs (the grey ones) are model specific - even more so in your case 'cause the MacBooks have Intel processors and your iMac (probably) has a PPC processor.

Contact Apple and they will send you a set of restore CDs for a very reasonable price, I think it's somewhere around $20. An Apple store will probably be faster than head office.
