MacOSCHints is my favourite mac feed. At least it was until it became iPhoneHints.com. Now I'm fed up with it because I don't have an iPhone and I don't want one.

I'm glad my first post will be read by a human before it's posted. At least I can be certain one of the mods will know that I've bothered to register just to make this point.

I'll give it a week. Hopefully the iPhone hints will go somewhere of their own or I'll go where the music takes me.

Sorry you dislike us now. Try back when Leopard comes out, there should be lots of new stuff for you then.

Thanks for taking me seriously, Craig, and for allowing my post. I'm afraid I was getting extremely irritated by all the iPhone stuff in the osx feed and perhaps worded my comment a bit strongly.

Dislike is too strong a word - I really do like this forum. I'd just like to see a separate feed for all the iPhone stuff. Yes, I know iPhone technically runs a cut down version of osx. But I bet it won't be upgradeable to Leopard!

Best wishes, Neil

Now there is a useful tidbit I didn't know about. I, like the OP, am extremely frustrated by the volume of iPhone hints. It's a great product, but I am here for MACosxhints. I just did a check on the RSS feed, how I routinely review the latest material. Of the 71 items in the current view, 32 mention iPhone in some way or other. That's 45%!! I am amazed that it could so dominate the feed.

Unfortunately, that setting doesn't seem to help with the feed. Too bad. Hopefully in a few more weeks the big hype and whoopla will settle down and we can get back to the real meat.

The volume of posts on MacOSXHints is really picking up now that people are back from their summer holidays. There should also be loads more stuff soon on upcoming Leopard (as Craig’s pointed out), as well as the iMacs that seem to be right around the corner.

And that, of course, means the portion of posts about the iPhone will be lessened...

Don’t hesitate to start a thread if you have special topics of interest that you would like to see discussed! :)
