I deleted a user I created. I used Users in the sys prefs to do it. That user still has a folder with all the subfolders there. The user's folder name has changed to "[username] deleted". I can't remove the folder or its contents. How do I delete it?

Also, I've got a bunch of files in Library/WebServer that I want to delete. If I try to delete them after logging in from another machine, using an admin's name and password, I am unable to delete the files. Also, I cannot create new folders. When I go to the server and am logged in with the same username and password, I can delete the files without a problem. I can also create folders.

Stopping the web service seems to make no difference. How do I create folders and delete files when logged in from another machine via afp?

thanks much.

When you deleted the user, you got a dialog asking you who you wanted ownership of the home folder transferred to. Most likely you said "System Administrator" which is the long name for "root".

Login as "System Administrator" using the root password at your AFP dialog and you should be able to delete the folder(s). Alternatively you could use ssh and 'sudo' and delete them from the command line as root.
