i've been trying to upload to rapidshare.com account using speed download with several different server addresses to a premium account and googling for a way to upload files to rapidshare via speed download.
But so far no results has turned out.
It would be really apreciated if someone could help me out on how to upload files a rapidshare.com premium account using speed download as i feel that speed download is the best download manager for os x.
But any other applications which could upload files to rapidshare.com via os x would be appreciated as well.
Hope someone could help me out on this.
Really need help on uploading files.
Thanks a lot.

I assume you've already read this... but you never know. The quoted text if from the Speed Download support area.
" SD COMPATIBLE WITH RAPIDSHARE SERVERS ?
Starting with SD version 4.1.6, absolutely !
SD is fully compatible with rapidshare.com and rapidshare.de
You simply need to add your username (login) and password in the Password section of the SD preferences.
Make sure that both:
www.rapidshare.com
*.rapidshare.com
are added as entries.
It's important to note that RAPIDSHARE PREMIUM accounts are the only accounts compatible with 3rd party download managers like Speed Download 4. This is a RAPIDSHARE requirement.
Premium users just have to change a setting to enable "seamless" RapidShare support.
To do that, login to your premium zone, and click on the "Options" button (it's a button, not an underlined link). Click it and check the box named "Direct-Downloads". Save the settings."

HazyJMac i came across the rapidshare thingy written on the speed download website. But its only about the downloading- there isn't anything about uploading the files to the rapidshare on that website- so i even mailed info@ speed download and this is the reply i got from them.
Hi F,
Hmmm, interesting point. We've never really tried that out or know for a fact that RS will allow it.
We'll look into it.
Thanks,

Ahhh.. I wasn't paying close attention. You can download via SD just not upload huh? Does speed download support uploading at all? To any site or service?

There is no GUI program to upload to rapidshare using a macintosh... yet.
It seems like the only way is to use a web browser and upload using their web based interface which is highly annoying and not very productive if you have a lot of stuff to upload.
However, if you look deep inside the rapidshare site, you'll come across a little perl script.
http://images.rapidshare.com/software/rsapi.pl
That is the basic non-resuming upload script that you can run from Terminal. If you look deeper you can find a more complicated script with resuming capabilities. I have no reason to stop and resume uploads, so I just use the basic one.
only difficulty I came across, is in the directions it says to type
perl rsapi.pl prem archive.rar username password
well, I found that didn't work, so I switched it up a bit.
perl rsapi.pl archive.rar prem username password
The above code is what worked for me.
... and that's why I <3 mac.

It's a tiny little application that closes the lack of the missing Rapidshare-Uploader from the officials for Mac OSX. It's based on the above Perl API (rsapi.pl) and have a nice GUI around this script.
