2 Questions: 1 about iPod Touch, 1 about iTunes.

Hope this is the right forum.

Hello. This is my first post :)

Firstly, how can you buy things from the US iTunes store if you have a UK registered iTunes account?

And secondly, I have just ordered the iPod Touch but what video types will work on it? I have some .avi's that I would like to put on it, but they wont load into iTunes. Does anyone know how I can convert these to file types that will work.

Many thanks in advance,

The iTunes thing: If you use your UK account, iTunes will balk at you if you try to buy something that is only available in another region. So if you want something that's US-exclusive, you should create another account.

The iPod touch can do QT movie formats: MPEG-4, H.264, etc. Check the specs page on Apple's website for more info.

Thanks, but if I make a new account what happens if I don't have a US billing address? Do I just make one up? So it doesn't matter if it doesn't match up with my credit card?

I'd use gift cards, as your credit card address must match with billing address.

As far as the US address...i don't know if it's ethical by this forum's standards to make one up, but that's what I'd do in this situation.
