I have a 60 GB iPod. Is there a way i can have itunes or some other piece of software pick songs at random from my library and put them on the iPod. i don't wanna have to sit there and try and fill the thing. i just want to hit a few buttons and walk away while it fills.

Try searching Doug's AppleScripts for iTunes (http://dougscripts.com/itunes/).

Create a smart playlist with the rule "Playlist is Music".
Check the box which says "limit to", enter 60 and choose "Gb" (or less if you want to leave space for other stuff).
Finally, choose "selected by random".

If you sync your iPod with this playlist, it should fill it with 60Gb of random tracks everytime you connect it.

NOTES:

Selecting a playlist other than "Music" for the tracks to come from will not work, unless that playlist is also sync-ed to the iPod (it'll complain that the playlist cannot be found on the iPod, so the smart playlist will be empty).
I've been unable to get the playlist to update, other than by deleting it and re-creating it. Obviously this isn't ideal...

Oh, and just ignore the GUI glitch on the screen-grab, I've already reported it to Apple.
