The "Show Duplicates" function in iTunes is handy.
However, is there a convenient way to make sure that I’m always removing the duplicate with the lowest bit rate? It seems a bit convoluted to have to check "Info" on each tune first.

Grateful for any suggestions.

My duplicates have built up over time so I have inconsistencies across my playlists (i.e. some playlist have one copy of the "duplicate" while some have a reference to the other).

When manually deleting the duplicate using it it esults in the song being removed from the playlist that refers to it (which makes sense).

I don't suppose there are any tricks to make sure when deleting a copy of a "duplicate" that the playlists that have it still refer to some version of that song?

Thanks.
