As I start really putting my iTouch to use (unfortunately, no jailbreak yet, though that's coming in the near future), another problem has arisen.

It seems on my touch, Safari loves to crash on me. I'll be browsing engadget or TUAW, and all of the sudden Safari will hang and dump me to the home screen.

I have rebooted the iPod and cleared Safari's cache, which remidied the problem for a bit, but after some more heavy use, will start crashing again.

I'm thinking jailbreaking the iPod may make it worse or better, only time will tell.

Anyone else experiencing this problem and has a solution? Any fix would be greatly appreciated.

When you sync your iPod with iTunes on your Mac, there should be an option to send the logs to Apple. You can then read those logs, including copy/pasting them here for us to see. (I'm assuming that this is the case, because that's how it works with the iPhone.)

Please let us see the logs, perhaps we can figure out what is happening.

Unfortunately I haven't a computer to retrieve the logs on. I am doing all my internet surfing directly on the iTouch. If I can get it back to my friend's computer and connect it to iTunes there, I'll see what I can get.

Now the crashes are getting epic. Every time safari crashes now, it takes the entire iPod with it. The entire iPod will freeze when safari crashes, and forcequit doesn't work (holding home button for 10 seconds or so). Then the iPod will reset itself after about a minute.
