Ipod won't mount

Here goes, I plugged in my Ipod while itunes was running and for some reason it wont mount although on the ipod screen it shows "connected - Eject before disconnecting" but I cant eject because the button isn't there. Is there a way I can manually eject it with a command line or something?

well u could try disk utilitly in your Utilities folder.
in disk utillity u can mount and unmount external devices.
