Has anyone found a way to print to an Apple Color StyleWriter 2400 while running Mac OS X?

Even better has anyone found a way to print to a networked Apple Color StyleWriter 2400 in Mac OS X?

It should work in Classic--even over a network. I used to do this all the time.

That's not exactly like using it in X, I know, but it's the next best thing.

Are there any hardware adapters, etc that will allow me to connect a Color Stylewriter 2400 to the most recent version of the 12" Powerbook G4? The printer has some type of old stye round connecter.

Thanks much

The 2400 is a serial printer. There is no 'adapter' to make it work on the 12".

Hi,

The Keyspan serial to USB adapter is compatable with OSX and Apple Stylewriters as can be seen here:

They also do some other interesting products. However, you may find it makes more sense to buy one of the new low end printers from HP or Epson than to buy an adapter.

Hope this helps.
