Hello

I have two partitions on my powerbook. The first one contains OS9 and the second contains OSX.
I would like to remove the OS9 system, how would I do that?
Would it be enough to just put everything on that partition into the trash bin?
Do I have to remove something on the OSX partition also?

Is it possible to "undo" the two partitions scheme, so there is only one partition containing OSX, without having to reinstall OSX?

Regards Brian

Brian, you can remove OS 9 by trashing its System Folder and emptying the trash. Might as well dump all your OS 9 apps while you're at it.

You can't really eliminate the partition and go to a one-partition scheme without wiping your hard drive and starting over, however. What you could do is use your old 9 partition for storage--downloads, documents, etc. Just consider it another folder on your hard drive and use it like that.

Quick question, however: are you sure you want to eliminate OS 9? You must really be in the clear with X-apps now. Still, that OS 9 System Folder doesn't take up much space, and there are sometimes advantages to having a dual-boot system. Being able to reboot into OS 9 to work on folders in X, defrag, etc., can be helpful at times. Just my 0.02.
