Bus Error and xmms [Archive] - The macosxhints Forums

When I run xmms from within X11 it crashes with a bus error whenever I try to play a song. esd runs fine, mikmod runs fine and gives me sound output. but xmms just crashes. any ideas??

From where did you installed xmms? and what version?

xmms 1.2.7 installed via fink .50a. OS X 10.2.3. Tibook 550Mz

Did you also installed Apple's X11, or xmms crashes while using XDarwin?

Please, run:

'dpkg -l xmms\* fink'

and post here the result.

I have no idea what's happening with your xmms installation. Please, could you post the crash log and any messages from console.
