Help with a Fink quirk... [Archive] - The macosxhints Forums

I'm trying to install KMix and KRec and most importantly Noatun! They are depending on the xfree86-threaded packages, and I'm using Apple X11. Anyway to install only the KMix and KRec and Noatun packages ingnoring the depends?

No, Apple's X11 is non-threaded.

I'm not sure if you might have a chance... to install them in "XDarwin" if you install Fink's 'xfree86-threaded' packages. Because I "think" those packages were in kdemultimedia which was hold off in the latest release because it was still not of release-quality.

PS: I am using 'both' at the moment, 'XDarwin with the "xfree86-threaded" packages' and 'Apple's X11', but I had to do the following, as I explained it here:
