I just bought my second Macbook and have trouble connecting to the internet wirelessly. My first MacBook had no problem at all connecting to the internet. We have a router (verizon). Under TCP/IP, using DHCP, the second Macbook's IPV4 address is different from my first Macbook. So I tried to type in the same IPV4 address my first Macbook used by changing DHCP to Manual. Now the Airport says "connected" but i still can't connect to the internet! Any idea how to fix this??? Thanks.

If you're running 10.4.x and you're connecting to a WEP-encrypted network, type a $ before the code.
AAA111BBBB
turns into
$AAA111BBBB

Better still, if it's WEP encrypted change to WPA2. WEP is broken.

Sorry? You lost me there, even though I'm not the OPer ... What do you mean by that? For WEP keys, change the encrypt when entering the code in the dialog box?
