Comments on new look

I like the new Mac OS X Hints main site. I just have one minor quibble. Clicking on the link to the forums opens a new window in my web browser. I liked it better when the forums link did not open a new window.

I hope this can be changed back. I'd hate to think you were turning into OSXFAQ, where every link seems to open a new window :-)

I'm not sure I agree. The forum portion of xhints is treated as a competely separate beast, hence the new window. If you click other links, I think they should be same window, but not the forum.

I agree with the OP. The forum should not spawn a new window. Even though logistically it is a separate site, it should be seamless to we viewers.

can i now use the same password for posting a hint on the main page, that i used to log into these forums with ! and if not what do i have to do as i could not figure it out before. russ:D

1) Databases are still separate, although now that the main site is upgraded, integrating the two is my new #1 project. I'm not sure what form that may take (there are a few options), but it will be done. Just please don't ask "When?" yet :-).

2) The Forums in a new window thing was a mistake. It will be fixed later tonight when I upload a number of small changes...
