XMMS and soundsticks

How do I get the sound from XMMS to my soundsticks?
Ive set the output in System Preferences to Soundsticks, but the soudn from XMMS still use the internal speakers on my iBook (My soundsticks sound is a bit better ;) ).
If I run iTunes and XMMS at the same time the sound from iTunes comes from the Soundsticks and XMMS from the internal speakers.

Be sure to select the "eSound Output Plugin" in the xmms preferences.

Then, when you open X11.app try running in an xterm:

esd &

If your machine is 'configured' to use the soundsticks (I have them too) then, you will hear a sound coming from them.

I got it working. I only needed to restart esd, as last time I started xmms (and by doing that I think esd starts automatically) was before I set the system to use the Soundsticks :)
